I think there was a thread like this last year, but I think it would be fun to compare notes again.

ABLE is our application-based learning exercise and CE is clinical exposure. Each last a week. I'm doing Radiology for my CE.

We are doing the easiest semester of the whole 4 years right now...its hard classes, but aren't very many of them, so you can actually study for them!

Pharm is a beast omg. I know I'll make a great veterinarian as long as I don't have to administer any medications or anything. 😉

And no, there's no "beach study hall" class. 😛 One of my friends back home asked me that. Honestly, I haven't been to the beach since my 2nd day on the island, and that was over a month ago!

Developmental Anatomy (or what other people call embryology)
Physiology A (principles/respiratory/cardiovascular/acid-base)
Veterinary Ethics (only meets twice though)
Health, History, P.E. (6-7 times per semester)
Introduction to the VMTH (have to get things checked off, pass/fail)

I think that's it, unless we get another small course sprung on us like last week (ethics)

13 classes!!! How is it possible to have that many classes?!

Well, we don't have that many classes all semester long- some of them last all semester and some only go partway through. Also, we have some three days a week and others only once a week. It's a little hard to juggle all the notes, but it works out.

The LA and SA hospital practicums are all either overnights (6 PM to 12 AM or 12 AM to 6 AM) or during the weekend, so they don't really feel like classes.

I'm excited, this is our last semester of Core classes. January brings large animal block and March will be the start of my clinical rotations (I am electing out of small animal block). Its the beginning of the end of small animals, yea!

Haha, I'm glad the large animal people feel the same way about small animal courses! I always feel a little guilty about how happy I am to not have to go palpate cows and horses. Thank the lord! No more coveralls!!

On a side note, I think cramming all of these "sub-classes" under one heading, such as Physiology, is a clever way of cramming WAY more information into 21 credits than it appears!
