I just graduated from a cc, and I will be attending UCF this fall. I'm a micro/molecular biology major. I have completed bio 1 & 2, gen chem 1 & 2, and physics 1 & 2. I've also completed calc 1, but I need one more math class, either calc 2 or statistics. I know I definitely need to take orgo 1 & 2 over the fall and spring semesters. What other classes should I take with it if I plan to take the DAT next summer? I'm currently signed up for microbiology, which my advisor told me was a good class to get out of the way since it is a prereq for a lot of other classes. I'm also signed up for statistics, and anatomy. Currently all of the orgo 1 classes are filled up, but I'm hoping people will drop it before the semester starts.

Schedule I would like: Organic 1, ?, ? ( I can't have more than 12-13 credit hours of class. )

Schedule I have: microbiology, statistics, anatomy.

YEAH microbio major!!! i like it. hmm... i would suggest o chem 1 then, ochem 2nd quarter lect + lab. later, 3rd quarter of ochem with lab.

your senior year, take biochem (i would recommend whole series - 3 quarters since biochem helps me in understanding those bio Q in DAT).

also, dont forget your microbio courses...

Good luck!!😉
