I was looking at admission requirements for a lot of med schools and they all required 1 full credit of humanities or social science.

I already took Psychology and Women's Studies, both of which I did horrible on (low 70s). Psych was 1.0 credit and Wmns was 0.5.

Do these count as humanities or am I suppose to take something else??

Thanks.

Psych is definitely a social science. I'm not sure if Woman's Studies is considered humanities or social science, since I think its a field with a pretty multidisciplinary approach. Either way, I think it should count if the requirement is "Humanities or Social Sciences."

Psychology is a social science, as is sociology, anthropology, history, poli sci, etc. Women's studies is usually considered a social science as well.

Humanities usually refers to philosophy, classical humanities (mythology), languages, art history, music or other performing arts, those types of things.
