I noticed on MSAR that one year of inorganic chemistry is required for most schools. Would this only include general chemistry, or can other non organic chemistry classes be counted as well? My college allowed me to skip one semester of gen chem due to AP credit through the honors sequence. I realize now that was the wrong choice to make, but I had to take that sequence because I had a very late registration date and all the regular labs were full. However, later on, I took 6 credits of chemistry research for credit. Since these credits are technically not organic chemistry, can I use them to fulfill the requirement?
Thank you for your time!

The MSAR isnt the final say. You better check each school website as some specifically require general chem
Chemistry research credits would likely not count as a prereq at most schools.
go take Pchem
I just saw the word pchem and got ill... take achem if the word pchem does the same thing to you... at my school it was basically gen chem but with less assumption

Scared of Pchem, com’n its fun! It is somewhere between a root canal and an IRS audit
I had a root canal when I was 14 when I was the dentist's first ever one out of school. After 30 minutes of him trying to get the anesthetic right (even going so far as accidentally hitting the nerve with the needle and my entire left side of my face was on fire) I just decided to tell him I was good and numb when I could feel everything. Went through the whole thing unanesthetized.

I would do that again over Pchem.
