During my undergrad, I did independent research in economics with my professor for part of a scool year and also particiopated in physics research for a summer. I was wondering if these technically count as the type of research that medical schools look for (I am also a non-traditional by the way)... I apologize in advance if this has been answered before, but I can't seem to find a direct answer anywhere! Thanks for the help! 👍

I'm fairly certain any research will count. Medical schools do not require you to have any/only clinical research.

All types research foster independent thinking and responsibilty, which is what med schools would want to see.

🙂

Yes, any research counts if it is a scholarly attempt to add to human knowledge. It need not be clinical or basic science.
