Ok I am going to be clear, I did terrible in High School, family troubles, a friend dying and what not but I realize that it is my fault and I take the full responsibility!

Anyway My high school GPA was 3.2 I just graduated with 07 class, I am not going to make the same mistake again!
I have decided to go to a community college for two years first because it is cheaper and my parents need me right now. I got in to University of Central Florida and University of North Florida ( I applied just to see)...
I want to be a medical Doctor and, I am wondering what courses I should take for fall this year...
this is what I am planning on doing but I don't know if this is right

Statistics 3 Credits
General Chemistry one (lab) 4 Credits
Principles of Biology one (lab) 4 Credits
Humanities 3 Credits
Composition One 3 Credits

I already took college General Psychology and World Civics along with medical terminology when I was in high school (D.E program) so I don't have to worry about them....

Any suggestions???? I am first generation college student in my home... So I am lost!

I work part time at our hospitals Pharmacy and I have over 300 hours of volunteer hours.... Also I am going to go to Pakistan Inshallah after I finish my undergrad to work at a hospital with my dad's friend.

i'd say terrible in high school is barely graduating, not a B+ average

and here's the real deal: no one will EVER EVER EVER give a **** about your highschool grades EVER again once you get into college.............happy trails, just go to the college that fits you

and 300hrs community service? LOL, only an overachieving med school hopeful would be so down on themselves.............. funny

anyway, my advice is to spend as much time as you can with advisors from the university you're going to, especially from your major; make them make time for you; take an extra course and drop whichever one you don't like the first week

it seems like you weren't interested in any more competitive schools, need to stay near home it seems? and that's fine and good; don't sweet it, i hate to say it but highschool just isn't going to matter once you're in college; all that will matter is how well you've prepared yourself with your studies, and even then not so much 😉 good luck

As the previous poster said, your high school grades will not matter.
In your situation, I would get core classes out of the way in community college but do most of the prereqs in a 4 year uni. Although most med schools accept comm college credit (and some don't), they generally look down on the pre-med science classes taken there. Find out what the required core classes are at the university where you're planning to transfer and make sure they will accept credit for them.
