I called AMCAS recently with a question about my primary, and noticed that they took my name and email. This got me thinking. ADCOMs, does AMCAS transmit information about how many times a student calls / emails them, etc, along with their primary, or no? I figured not, but I know that admissions offices will sometimes collect similar data, so I was just curious.

Many people have similar names but emails are unique and yet not private and a field on which one can search in an AMCAS application. Even someone who has not yet applied has one. That, to me, makes it a no-brainer in terms of being able to keep track of callers and to get back in touch with someone if need be.

As far as I know, AMCAS does not relay this information (number of calls made to AAMC) to the schools.

Can I ask you why you are asking this question?

Of course they're taking your name and email for their own records. Schools don't usually know (or care) how many times you asked AMCAS for help or why. Admissions offices will collect data for your outreach to them.
