What are adcoms looking for with this prompt? as we've already listed our activities on the primary, are they looking for more depth? or do they just want you to list the activities again and maybe present them from a slightly different perspective?

You can't go wrong w/the honest approach.

They don't want to work for it by digging through the work and activities section and comparing your graduation date with the dates of acctivites and the activities themselves which may be a combination of employment, volunteerism, and hobbies.

Go in chronological or reverse chronological order if you changed jobs over time and provide information on full-time employment or part-time employment. If you want to add a paragraph at the end mentioning that you also were involved in community service and hobbies, that's fine but what the adcom is really wanting to know is how did you occupy the bulk of your time since graduation.

Thanks for your comment. So I take it this is not the time to write anecdotes about insights and whatnot?

Just state what you did during your gap year whether it was volunteering, working, or doing some type of post bacc work. Don’t need to go too in-depth just keep it simple.
