Previously,

You didn't take the DAT a third time, then?

List your schools and the results. If you are still on a waitlist, you still have a chance. Why do you feel that being a dentist is the best way for you to serve your community?

This application cycle honestly broke me and i need some raw advice on what to do or some hope if it applies. I applied to 21 schools and so far all i’ve been hit with is 2 wait lists, 1 rejection, and outright ghosted. I’ve sent a few letter of intents and have gotten emails that i’m still being considered and they’re still holding interviews but i don’t know anymore. i retook the dat twice (400 overall, highest being a 460 in PAT, nothing below 380), i have a 3.9 GPA (graduated with high distinction) , two research papers and ongoing involvement, founded an oral health for children club at my university, was apart of 12 other organizations and involvement in my community, went to seminars and tutors to help with my entire application cycle for my essays and secondaries, over 600 hours of shadowing dental experience and still ongoing… I don’t know what i’m missing i’ve asked family members in dentistry whats holding me back and they all said just remain patient and i did all i can.. not to mention im on my second gap year. I thought i presented myself well and was a well rounded applicant but i guess not and it’s really breaking me down… anything would help or give me some type of hope
first of all, did you take the DAT twice? or retook it twice (three total)?
please list all sections and subsection for all three attempts

second of all, your GPA is not 3.9, it is whatever AADSAS says it is

third, please be specific about the events you have attended at/with dental schools...

what else have you done to improve your application between june and now?
