I have been working in a research lab for the past year that is funded through a medical school. However, I am considering switching to a lab at a vet school that is working in collaboration with the lab I am currently in but is in a more convenient location to me. Would a LOR from the PI at the lab at the medical school look better than the vet school? I do not want to switch for convenience and have it hurt my admissions, and I would be working more with therapies relating to large animals (that could still be related to similar human therapies). I guess the real question is, do schools care about what you conduct your research in? I feel if I go to the more convenient lab, I will be able to spend more time actually conducting research since I will not be traveling as far back and forth. Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!
