What do u think abt applying for advanced and specialty program in one school?

I am planning to apply for the advanced standing program and endodontic residency program at the same time in one school.
What do you think about?
Would it negatively affect my chance to be accepted?

Here is my story.
I have worked as a dentist at California for 3years, but I moved out of state for some reasons, that means I have to go back to school to be licensed here I just moved in. As you already know, every state except California(before 2006) and Minnesota doesn't allowed foreign-trained dentists to practice without getting over 2 years academic programs in the US.
I received my certificate in endodontics at my home country, so I prefer to get in endodontic specialty program in US. However, seemingly getting into the advanced standing program is easier for me.
If I apply for two different programs at the same time in the same dental school, will the respective admission commettees know and dislike it?

I suggest you visit the school you want to apply to, ask for a tour and talk to people.
Some may understand the practicality in you applying to two programs, while others may consider it unprofessional / lacking focus or planning.
