what do u think are the most and least competitive private dschools??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you're out of state and applying to a state school that accepts 0-5 applicants from out of state . . . that's probably the most competitive.

As for private schools, your best bet is to match yourself up to the schools where you seem like a good fit (ie - meet their prerequisites, research their philosophy, make sure you're competitive for their applicant pool, ect)

Good link...but why does the enrollment data seem to indicate that the University of New Jersey accepts every applicant?? This can't be right....

Desperate for dentists in Jersey? Have to accept over 1500 applicants in case there is another cheating scandal that wipes out 9/10th of the entering class? Mafia-related deaths? Tragedies involving Jersey walls or jug handles? Not knocking NJ... I married a Jersey boy. There are just so many possibilities, but I am willing to wager it was an error.

The "hardest" privates are probably the ivies (My order would be Harvard, Penn, CU).

The "easiest" privates are probably NYU, Temple, maybe Tufts/BU?

The "best" is the cheapest one you get into. Seriously.
