So, how do I make sure May 15th, I've fulfilled all my obligation? Does this deadline mean that I simply email all-but one golden one---saying that I've declined and would like to withdraw?

Yes. Also make sure you've paid the deposit to the school you plan on attending.

I'm still a lilt fuzzy on what the May 15th deadline means. I've been accepted to two schools but I do not have financial aid info for either. Is the May 15th deadline just a date when the deposits we paid are non refundable?

Yeah you have to have accepted your position at your final choice school and dropped all other acceptance offers and paid your fee to take that spot. Like I had paid a 75 dollar and a 100 dollar fee to hold a spot at two different schools, I had to inform the school I chose not to go to that I wasn't going. I think this is correct.

Are any exceptions made for people who don't know about financial aid? I'm expecting a good amount of need based scholarship from both schools.

You can still hold multiple acceptances after May 15 but you lose your security deposit. I don't think any exceptions will be made for people who do not know about financial aid because a lot of schools have not released this yet and many students are in that position. You just lose your security deposit.

For schools that did not ask for a deposit upon accepting the spot in the class, there generally isn't a new "May 15 deposit," right? I never paid a deposit to the school I want to attend. Thanks!

You'd have to check in with those schools about that... If you didn't need to submit a deposit to secure your spot in a class, you won't lose this deposit if you withdraw later than May 15 though.

Schools are slacking! We have 10 days to make a decision and there's no financial aid yet from the majority of my schools. What gives??
