So what do you guys think its harder to take in a semester: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology and Microbiology , all these with lab, or general bio 1, chem 1 and Physics 1, all of this with lab as well. It can be, bio 2, chem 2, and physics 2. Just wondering. Doable any of the 2, I am pretty sure, what do you all think? aahhh, and maybe 20-25 hours a week working. Not for me, but I have a friend who is pre-nursing and another premed, they keep saying to each other one courseload is harder that other.

It REALLY depends on the school. But it looks like the first choice, Human Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology is a more advanced courseload than the latter.

Though of course, it all depends on how the classes are arranged and pre-req requirements. I know some schools where you can take Anatomy and/or Physiology at the same time as general bio 😱 And microbiology is really just a memorize and spit class for the most part.

But then again, taking all those basic courses like bio, chem and physics together IS tough since you are not used to the information being presented to you, and from that viewpoint I can certainly understand.

So once again, it's all relative really on the person and school.

No pre-reqs for physio, but basic chem ( high school) and anatomy is advised, but not required. Anatomy has no pre-reqs and for micro, again, just the high school chem.

..and this is why the adcoms will wonder why I'll be so proud if I can squeeze a B from my physiology course.

To the OP: personally, I think you're nuts. Is there any way to spread these courses out over more than one semester or year? You got plenty of time to do your pre-reqs, why make things so difficult? And working on the side, too? Man, if you manage to pull off all that stuff while still keeping up your GPA, you'd be one of probably a handful of people on earth that can. My vote would be that you leave some space for free time. Good luck.

I dont think you read the post well. I am simply asking what do you guys think its harder as in work in a semester. Is it option 1) Anatomy, Human Physio and Micro all of these with lab or option 2) Bio 1, chem 1, physics 1 all of these with lab or bio 2, chem 2, physics 2 with lab. I have two friends, one pre-nursing, one premed. One is taking option 1, the other taking option 2 and both are always debating on which option is more of a course load. So what I am simply doing, is asking you guys what your opinion is on these? Laterz

Eduardo

P.S. Oh yeah, and both work from like 15-25 hours a week.

Right you are. I misunderstood. Anyways, I guess the bio, chem, and physics would be the harder of the two. Anatomy and Physiology are related, so I guess that helps. To be honest, though, I've never taken either. Wow, if your friends can pull that off, they must have some dedication.
