Hello all, I was wondering if medical schools care about what kind of work you pursue during the year before you enroll in medical school, i.e. when you are waiting to hear back from applications. I was thinking about doing something totally unrelated to medicine, like maybe getting a job in management consulting or something to get a glimpse of a different world. But I heard they expect to see lab work or volunteering, is that true? Thanks!
