Out of all the schools I applied to, there is only one I want to attend. Ernest Mario Pharmacy school. I'm afraid I won't get it. Maybe I'll get lucky..who knows. But looking at the stats of other students, it looks like I won't. My second choice, USciences, I applied 25 days after the deadline and the school won't get my transcript until January 6ish.

St. John's I've heard is a terrible school.

Albany, I applied just 20 minutes ago. It is almost 3 hours away..

Ugh, people are calling it USciences already? I hate that name and refuse to call it that. The pharmacy school professors do as well. Right now they pretend the names USciences and even USP don't exist, and call it PCP as it was called in 1821. I think that's the name that I will put on my CV when applying for jobs/residencies.

But seriously, we are a rolling admissions school. There is no deadline. I even looked on the website. It lists December 1st as a transfer deadline. I didn't hear too much more bad stuff about St. Johns than I experience at USP. Only bad thing I hear about St. Johns is that it's pretty much a commuter school. I hear they're much easier than USP also (maybe that's why people say it's a bad program).

My pharmacist is graduated from St. Johns. He is a very smart guy and did well in school, but he didn't like the school. He told me that the school doesn't really care about how much you are learning, all they cares about is if you can graduate...

I have a same problem.. but my dream school is in California!
At least you got accepted to 1 school! Good luck with your top school though!

I don't understand the rationale of applying to schools you have no desire to attend. Why waste the time and money going through the process? And applying nearly a month past deadline, why bother? I don't think they would even consider something that late.

Seems like your best bet is to stick it out for the school you want, and work on building up your stats if you have to apply again next year.

I applied to PCP/USP/USciences around december 27. why? They emailed me saying they were offering free applications. I had nothing better to do and I'm pretty good with writing essays so I applied. No harm done, why not? If I get in then yay for me. I applied because I will have to go even farther after 4 years of undergrad which I don't feel like doing anymore because I'm more positive that pharmacy is for me.

Thanks, now my hope has extended onto another school. I didn't know about the name. The website lists the name as USciences and many people call it USP. I hope it doesn't affect my admittance because my essay used 'USciences' in it.

St. John's is also a christian school. I don't mean to say that I am against that, I just would feel a bit out of place there because I'm an agnostic that hates mention of religion. Causes too many problems in my opinion.
