That's a great idea.
Dont they want to see your involvment in that particular dental school? Talking about meeting people and building up a relationship with them. I am sure they will notice that you have manual dexerity skills if they enjoy the restroom.
When adcom asks you what did you do that year off, you can tell them that you work for the dental school.

Seriously, I think a post-bac program will help. I will also apply for the dental assisting program.

Try and try again. Most of the people on here who didn't get in the first time HAVE gotten in eventually.

I think persistance is the key, along with trying to identify where your application went wrong. Also, it could be that you simply applied to the wrong schools.

Above all, I would be in direct contact with the schools and find out why you weren't accepted, and discover what you can do to better your application.

Most schools will gladly tell you what you can do to improve. If you take that advice to the bank, I think you'll find yourself a successfull applicant.

If I don't get into dental school this year I will definately apply next year but I will also apply for a job with a pharmaceutical company to kill time.

I would recommend getting a job which will help your application. Not just anything that pays and kills time. If you get interviews later, they will ask you what you have been doing all this time. some schools even have secondary application questions asking the same question. Make your choices wisely. i would suggest taking classes at least part time, work at a dental office, do something involving manual dexterity, retake dats, etc.

I was not trying to be a d!ck. I just thought the answer was obvious. Gavin had a good answer, basically to reapply, improve you application, and learn for the previous application cycle.
