So, I have a question as to what you guys do, when you're having trouble in a class? I try to meet up with someone that is doing well in the class to review, or I go to tutoring on campus. However, tutoring is available off campus as well, but it can get quite expensive for individual tutoring and review sessions with packets. There's not always tutoring available for all classes though, such as biology related ones (like microbiology or biochemistry). I also go to office hours but that seems to only help to a certain extent. It seems the internet has become my new best friend in helping me with study skills/techniques, or for help in clarifying a difficult topic/concept.
Professors generally rehash the "just study" speech or ask "did you study" and that is a bit too obvious, condescending, and not helpful. I always study but it sometimes seems like I'm not using all of my resources to my advantage. I want to make sure that I'm using all of my resources to my advantage, so I can always get the maximum assistance that I can. I know that it's always good to be self-reliant, but if I need outside help than I am willing to do everything I can to insure my success! 🙂 So, what do you guys advise? Any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated! 🙂
