I applied to this school what do you guys think about this school?

Their mission statement says they aim to train people of color (w/ special emhasis) or from disadvantaged backgrounds. I didn't see that until after I applied. I'm middle class and the only thing colorful about me is my eyes and sometimes my language, so I'm anticipating a rejection.

I read that statement about them traditionally being a "black" university, but is it only geared for blacks or minorities in general?

Go the school website, click on "about meharry". Their missions is printed out right there. Sounds to me like you need to be of color or in some seriously disadvantaged situation to be competitive there. Wouldn't waste my money if you don't fit this bill. Too late for me.

asians don't count as a minority but i think they take a few.... but it's an obscene number of asians who apply for just a handful of spots

lol, TN = Tennessee (in the south) You might be thinking of Howard which is in DC. You could always try to paint yourself black but I have a feeling that they miiiiiiiight be able to figure out you're not black. give it a shot and let me know how it goes, i might have to do the same thing! hahaha
