I am considering ATSU-Mesa. I have read about the program and visited the school. I am woddering if anyone can offer any insight/ info that is not in the literature. What have you heard? Is this a good school? Thanks!

Adam

It is a sister school to ATSU-KCOM in Missouri. There is no medical school, per se, but you will be at the ATSU campus which also houses the Arizona school of Dentristry. From what I understand, students will be taking courses with dental students, then after the 1st year, the students will match into many teaching "places" (dont know if its other med schools or what). I havent heard anybody interviewing there yet. I think it will be a great school, but I would think that would suck to have to move again after your 1st year. ANyhoo, hope this helped dude,👍

There are many COM-Mesa threads, even one on this page that are very informative. I will bump the one on this page up. 🙂

Yes, this will be a harder school to attend if you have roots/kids just because they ship you off to another state (most likely) after only two semesters in Mesa.

On the secondary i just found out that they are offering several dual degrees with the D.O. degree. Interesting..you have to pay $160 to apply though...I wonder if it will be all online since you won't be on campus..anyone know?

I was wondering about that too. I think a lot of it would have to be online just because we won't be on campus for very long.
