Hi. So I think I've settled into deciding on Boston University, but I guess I'm still not 100% sure that this program is right for me.

I guess my question is more directed at those who are planning to attend or already attending the BU DPT program:

What would be the factors that motivated you to head towards this program over any other?

Thanks.

Are you able to go to any of the open houses this month? I feel like that would be a good chance for you to get a feel for the program and settle any doubts you might have. There's nothing like going to see it for yourself and meeting some professors and students who are already there!

Yea. I can't make the Open House. but I did pick apart my friend's brain who is a first year in the BU DPT program. It just seems like they have a fairly high drop out rate. I hope I'm as smart as they think I am....

How does your friend like it?

Just curious, did your friend say why their drop out rate was/is high?

I am probably applying there..just curious since you were accepted... what was your GPA? What is their tuition costs? I would assume they are very expensive.

This is the response I received from [email protected]:

"We usually have about 4-5 students drop out during the first summer and then 1-2 the first year. I would say most of those people just decide this is not what they want to do. We do lose a couple of people for academic reasons."

I got into BU with a scholarship. My estimate was 43/year, and the scholarship was 22/year, which brought tuition down to reasonable, but not great, which is why I'm probably going to Simmons. They also gave me a scholarship for almost the exact same amount, but their starting tuition was already much lower.

Hi guys,

So I'm about 90% sure I'll be attending Simmons and I'm looking for roommates! Looks like BU is pretty close, so if anyone's interested, please message me
