I'm a foreign graduate. I've completed 50% of my internship hours in California, but all of them have been in a hospital inpatient pharmacy. I learned a lot about TPN calculations, mixing TPNs, pain management, antibiotic dosing calculations, making IVs, oral syringes, OT, ICU medicines but I don't have much experience in outpatient setting since they are a small hospital. Will this be counted against me when I go out to look for a job (mostly in retail setting, b'coz of visa reasons)?
What else do pharmacy students here learn as an intern?

Thank you

If you're trying to find work in a retail setting, you will want to have retail experience. There are a lot of things they don't teach you in school and that you wouldn't learn in a hospital setting (e.g. transfers) and you'd want some experience in counseling and OTCs. If you're going to try to go that route, I'd be looking for an outpatient internship ASAP.
