Looking for an honest answer here,
I am an OMSIII, and I just wanted to get your guys opinions, preferably from 4th years who matched into PM&R.
Could you give me an idea of my chances of matching into an ACGME PM&R program?
Here are my stats:
COMLEX 1: 550+, COMLEX 2: Pending, Also may sit for USMLE Step 2 (if that makes any difference? I don't know)
Pre-clinical Years - Never failed, never honored, but usually average to above average grades.
Clinical Years - Passed with above average grades on all shelfs. (Still have a couple remaining)
Volunteer - Few and far between. My extracurricular are not a strength, lets just put it that way. Won some random awards in undergrad, but did not participate in many clubs during med school (not interested in that sort of thing personally)
LORs - Hopefully, strong all around. Probably one surgery, one FM or IM, and one PM&R letter.
Misc - No research or publications of any sort. I feel like on paper, I am just an average applicant. I do have many hobbies and interests, so I am not sure if that matters and I believe I can audition well.
I may be forgetting some things, but if you want more info, please do not hesitate to PM me.
Thanks for your help guys.
