Ok, so i have one more semester after this to graduate.. i have a really low G.PA in my major (zoology) and i am thinking of transfering to an out of state school as an undergrad and doing about a year and half there as a physiology major. My grades start from the beginning and i can pretty much have a new G.P.A. based on how good i do in those classes. Do you guys think that is a better option, than doing a post bac program after graduation?

It might not be enough to change your major since Zoology is a science major with a lot of science classes and Psychology is more of a Arts and Letters degree with a lot less science classes. You need to raise both your full GPA and your science GPA, to do that you either have to switch to another science or take a fair amount of upper level science courses on top of your Psych classes.

Um, I don't think you can do that. The classes you've taken at every school have to go on your AMCAS (and will be averaged together in your overall GPA), so you won't get a "new" GPA. You can't just pretend that those grades don't exist. In addition, I don't think you can transfer once you have more than a certain number of units, or if a school will let you transfer in, the extra units just won't count for anything. So basically, I think it is a bad idea and also not possible. Therefore, go with the post-bacc.

he said physiology, not psychology.

Oops, never mind.

I double majored in a science and a nonscience and will graduate this spring with a 2.5 sci, 3.6 nonsci, for a 3.1 overall. What is the best way to boost my ug gpa? My adviser told me to enroll in a postbac or ms program but from the stats, it looks like it would be hard for me to get into a ms program, not to mention it will not add to my ug gpa. Are there any postbac programs that still have open admissions now? Any advise would be appreciated, thanks

Georgetown is still accepting applications for its SMP, and I believe Drexel and Boston are too. Having a 3.0+ overall is helpful, and as long as your MCAT is 27+ you should be able to get into one of these programs, unless you got a bunch of C's or lower in your upper division science classes (that's a big no-no).
