The main reason I choose Family Medicine was to one day work in the out-patient setting...You know in a clinic. I was wondering if such a plan is still viable or would I have to look only at practices where you had to share in-patient duties? I mean, as a resident there is so much valubale learing to be had in the hospital BUT the reason I like Family medicine so much is that I can work with Adults and Children in a clinic. Do people do this? Or do most people do some sort of mix?

(forgive my spelling)

Read the sticky Family Medicine FAQ. It's all in there.

Practice options are variable when it comes to FM.
