My advice would be to stay up with anatomy periodically throughout the first two years and review ALL of it from YOUR CLASS once or twice before (every 5-6 months after your Anatomy class) starting to study for the NBDE. Head and Neck anatomy is where most of the gross anatomy questions are focused on. I would not try to learn anatomy from a review book because it will be different then what you have already learned and it can make it confusing so stick with the way you already originally learned it.
As far as the rest, I would read a review book like First Aid as you go through micro, path, physio, ect along with your classes when you get to those subjects. This way you get used to the way the book is organized and when you start actually studying a couple months before your test you have already seen the exact info you need to know and you will pick it up faster.
Lastly, I wouldn't listen to those who say they reviewed for a week and passed. This is not the way to guarantee your way to a Pass. The test is not easy and you you do not want to risk it. Maybe they did take only a week for review but I am one of those who like to walk into a test and know that I am well prepared and know all the material.
