hey guys, i know this may seem to be a stupid question, but what does a general dentist do besides cleaning teeth? Does he/she also diagnose oral disease, root canals, etc???

a general dentist basically does whatever he is comfortable doing. not much addl education is needed for the ones with superior clinical and intellectual skills.

dentists sure have a lot of lee way in my opinion!
