What does GPA mean?

I can look up the average GPA of the people who were admitted to every dental school, sure, but how is this GPA calculated? Is it an "upper division" GPA, where only the courses taken after 60 credit hours count? Or is it an overall GPA? Or something else altogether?

Overall and science ones are the ones usually shown. Some may show BCP grades, which are the biology, chemistry, and physics course grades.

Yep. Usually overall and science GPAs. I think the "upper division" GPA is more of a thing that some medical schools use, but I haven't seen any dental schools use it
