So I must have missed the day when we learned what ! means.

Say you have 4!, it means 4 X 3 X 2 X 1 = 24

I think I figured it out...

! refers to a decreasing series:

6x4x3x2x1

Am I correct?

ie: 4! = 4*3*2*1 = 24.
