What does the "ABD" in ABD pad stand for?



First one to get it right gets 100 karma points.

I know its not abdominal, and it's not absorbent breathable dressing. I searched the interweb and i can't find the answer. Anyone know?

I've always been told it stands for abdominal. Sorry. Makes sense if you pronounce ABD too.
