...aren't you curious what their AMCAS application looks like? I imagine they wonder the same question about our PharmCAS application.

Yes! Of course we are very curious of what their AMCAS application looks like! I mean, we are pharmacy students, we totally would love to know what's on the medical school application because it totally relates to us.

 I am more interested in what the PHORCAS app looks like for pharm residency even though that's a ways off..

WHAT is a PHORCAS application? do you have to do it in order to work as a retail pharmacist? I am confused as to what it is... is it like an application medical student do in order to work in a hopsital?

What's the difference between a Pharmacist who finish pharmacy school and a pharmacist who finished pharmacy school and do what ever the PHORCAS set them up to do?

PHORCAS is for pharmacy residencies. If you don't know what a pharmacy residency is then read up on it.

Ohh I see... it's extra education to work in a hospital... and some other 2 areas that are confusing to me. So you can't work in a hospital if you don't do PHORCAS program.

Are you new to pharmacy? Im surprised you know so little about it. There are dozens of residencies our there for dozens of different positions.

PHORCAS is just the centralized application for residencies...just like PharmCAS for applying to school. To do a residency, you have to match through the program run by ASHP. Here is the residency directory if you want to look at what is offered: http://accred.ashp.org/aps/pages/directory/residencyProgramSearch.aspx
It is a combined work/education experience (you get paid a stipend). Employers say completing a residency gives you '~3 years of professional experience'. It opens up other opportunities..you MAY be able to work in a hospital without it, but it will be harder unless you have a networking connection. You don't really have to do a residency if you want to work in retail.

Mystery solved...typed phorcas apps on youtube--it is IDENTICAL to PharmCAS.
