I just got back from a trip and I called Upstate Syracuse about the update of my Nov. 30th interview. Meanwhile, I sent an update to the director of Admissions yesterday..I basically told her about my last semesters MPH grades...Then I called the admissions office this morning for any update on my interview...the man told me a decision was made Jan 5th and that it had been mailed to me....he said he couldn't tell me due to confidentiality..... I am currently in school and I just called home and was told a letter was mailed from the school....Meanwhile, the email I sent yesterday was replied and the reply to my email was " Thanks for the update! We'll be in touch"......I have not had my dad read the letter sent to my house yet..but based on the respoonse I got from the man and based on the email...do you guys think I was accepted or denied..I am really nervous...I really want to go to Upstate?....Did anyone that had the November 30th interview get accepted?

Please guys I need some response...Please

doesnt look great. they usually call for acceptances and snail mail everything else. acceptances come in a big envelope.

really? Could it be a waitlist letter ? also?....I think my dad said it is a letter not a package.......mennnn.. I already feel so down..I have not even seen th letter...my dad said he will call me once he gets home.......this is so disappointing if it is a rejection letter...this is the only school I had an interview in so far.. I really wanted to go to Upstate.......any advice on what to do...if in case it is a rejection letter....I have heard of situations where rejected students where reconsidered..

its most likely a rejection, but hey if im wrong then thats good news right 🙂

It's either a wait list or a rejection, but rather than coming up with contingency plans for each, i think you'd stay a lot more sane if you just had your dad open it for you. There's not much chance to be reconsidered after a rejection, those are final and can be appealed in extreme cases (ie your interviewer harassed you, that type of thing). But a waitlist can be a good thing and with a good letter of interest/intent can definitely become an acceptance.

it could very well be a waitlist letter. even a high priority waitlist letter- which would mean you have a very good shot at getting in. if you're rejected, my best advice would be to look at places you still haven't heard from and send them letters of interest, new letters of recommendation, etc. also , be in touch with your advisor-- sometimes they can make phone calls to get feeback from schools.

IT WAS A HIGH PRIORITY WAITLIST!!!!!!!!!!......While this was not an acceptance, I remain cautiously optimistic........I really pray Upstate accepts me..I will die to go to this school... i have already made friends at the campus without even going there yet........definitely my top choice........
