What does 'transcript deadline' mean?

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but what does it mean when schools say that transcripts must be sent in by such and such date? In general, are they talking about transcripts sent to AMCAS or that we should send in another copy of our transcripts to each individual school?

amcas should have a form that you can print... take it to your register (or whoever does your transcripts) and they should send it directly to the school(s)... and yes the school(s) have to actually have the transcripts by whichever date it specifies

well, I already sent in my transcript to AMCAS, and got it verified. do some schools want another copy of transcripts?

you might want to check with the school on that, I sent it directly... but it could vary... honestly it never hurts to be certain
