Hey y'all, currently in my gap year and I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to be a better applicant if I end up having to apply again this coming summer. Essentially I've heard that clinical experience and service to the underserved are pretty much the most important as far as ECs go. So what I'm doing right now is:

1. Full time work (40 hours a week) as a scribe doing internal medicine (I just got promoted to assistant chief scribe so that's nice).
2. Weekly volunteering with my church with homeless and impoverished people in the city. We basically do a food kitchen and short church service type thing, but that main thing is we give out food to those who need it. It's 2 hours every week. It's a lot of fun every week and I've loved doing it so far.

I'm pretty heavily involved in my church in other ways as well buts that about it for volunteering. Is there anything else I should do during my gap year? It's only November so I still have lots of time and I don't want to mess this up.
