So I have done two FLs already. (Scores PS/VR/BS)

AAMC 3 --- 3 weeks ago --- 10/9/10
Kaplan FL 1 --- 2 weeks ago --- 11/9/11

+ an 8 on first two tests of EK 101, but I think I have improved in that area.

Anyways, both of those tests were before I had done any chemistry or ochem content review, and for the AAMC i hadn't even finished bio and physics yet.

I am aiming for a 35+, but that obviously doesn't matter in this thread.

My MCAT is July 31st, so I do have lots of time.

What FL should I take next?

I have TPR Tests A-D (from a really old MCAT book).
I have all old Kaplan FLs.
I have all old AAMC FLs.
I might have an EK test that came with my study set, not sure.

I am also planning on purchasing gold standard at some point.

Maybe instead of buying AAMC 8-10 CBT version, just use the paper version and buy the gold standard 10 exams instead.

You sure are bumping a lot.

I guess I understand though, since you are trying to take this tomorrow morning.

I recommend Kaplan FL2.

I also think buying Gold Standard would be better than buying any AAMC CBTs, if you already have to older versions. However, make sure you do buy some CBTs.

I of course have not even taken the MCAT yet, and will not until next year.

Anybody else have any info to help this fellow out?

I am going with Kaplan FL2.

I decided to save the AAMCs for the last month.

I am going to buy the goldstandard exams from ebay. Anyone want to go halfsies with me (if that is legal), send me a PM?

stay away from kap 11 and 12 if you want your confidence in tact. they are hard exams, which is usually true of kap tests. but their curve does not compensate for this, so you'll end up w/ sub 10 for everything. i was scoring 35+ on all the kaplan and aamcs and ran into 11 when i got a 29.

is the Gold Standard book any good? I need to know, i am shopping around.

I took Kaplan 1 -6 and thought they were pretty good. Then I took the AAMCs.

I think it's generally a good idea to do all the kaplan tests and save the AAMC ones in the weeks leading up to the real thing.

These are very good scores considering you have 1 more month. However, like someone else pointed out, you should get some CBTs. Try to see if you can get access to the AAMC CBTs. There are also Berkeley Review CBTs and GS CBTs
