Hi guys i'm planning to apply for next cycle but i also want to apply for a 1 year job that would be out of the country. since interviews are usually during the sept - dec period, what would happen if i'm outside the country?

just curious so i know before i choose to apply for the job

thanks!!

If I were you I would make the finite decision of which one you plan to go for. Commiting to a one year job out of the country isn’t smart since you could receive and interview and later gain admittance in March. On the other hand you could get an interview in January and find out a couple of weeks later that you’ve been accepted. The system isn’t predictable...

However, you will probably be able to reschedule an interview if you decide to schedule the job interview and explain that you will be out of the country...as long as it’s not a considerable amount of time (ie more than a week). Admissions tends to be pretty considerate and will try to accommodate you, especially if you’re someone that had an application that really intrigued them. Not all programs are as flexible though!
