I recently started ordering transcripts to send to PTCAS. Although I received an A- in one of my summer school classes through a separate university, on their online transcript website they have my grade as an A. When they sent my grades to my main university, my main university marked my grade as an A-. I'm wondering what would happen if I ordered the other school's transcript but wrote that I got A in the class on PTCAS - would there be a delay or discrepancy if it turns out I actually got an A- or would it not be a huge deal and easily fixable?

Additionally, I still have a few pre-reqs left but I am not sure what school I'm going to take them at. Do I need to include them as planned classes even though I don't know what the institution is going to be or should I just not include anything for that yet?

Thanks!

If you got an A-, put down A-. If your main university recorded an A-, it's obvious that that's what the official transcript reports. As for your pre-req's, you have to figure that out because with missing required courses listed as taken or planned, you may be passed over in interviews. Put down the most probable plan now and you may update during the update timeframe.

I second this. Put down ONLY the grades you earned from that specific college or university. For example, I went to LCC and transferred to MSU. In PTCAS, in the section where in enter grades, you start a New Institution. I will enter in Lansing Community College. I will enter in each grade I earned as seen on the transcripts of LCC ONLY. When I am done, I will start a New Institution again. Michigan State University. I enter in the grades I earned from the classes taken at Michigan State ONLY as seen on MSUs transcript. All grades from LCC are completely ignored and should NOT be entered in this section...

As for planned courses, I believe you have until January or February to get all the information in. I remember PTCAS making tons of announcements about it around December. Make sure you 'Like" PTCAS on facebook too for these announcements btw!

Hope this helps! 🙂
