So I just finished the DAT this past weekend and I was wondering how long it takes AADSAS to receive scores from prometrics. Anyone got any information regarding this?

hmm good question i just took mine today too and was wondering the same. I think it takes around 2 weeks but not sure

about 2-3 weeks.

obviously it can vary if you did something during the test that raised flags as noted by prometric staff the ADA might review things make it longer.

When it shows up on aadsas, does the scaled score show up too?

Nope, it just says the date you took the test, and the date it was uploaded onto AADSAS.

You get the unofficial scoresheet right after you take the test, so you know your scores right away, but it takes a while for them to upload it onto the applications services.

To me this is ridiculous.

3 weeks for an upload? With today's technology? When was the last time someone even allowed a 3 week wait on something to be "uploaded"? I could understand a week, but three??

And yes, I'm still waiting for mine to show up. Took it on the 16th.

eh? I thought I'll receive it right after my test day. You have to wait for three weeks?

no no. You get it right away. an "unofficial" print out. The scores do not become official until they review it.

it takes 2-3 weeks for it to be show up on your AADSAS profile.

they probably do actually audit the thing. Or its their way to giving themselves a buffer. I mean they claim it takes 4-6 weeks to process after you e-submit but most people it only takes 3.

But hey they charge people $25 to "send" out the reports if you didn't choose any schools. even the most premium paper, envelope and overnight postage doesn't even run $25 dollars.

Inelastic demand my friend. Basic principle of economics.

They can charge $100 and people would pay it.

oh I know I'm just saying they can do what they want regardless of how "easy" it is. plus its why last year when the policy change from 5 free schools @ time of registration to all are free was a shock to me. I was like they wouldn't give that up just for a bump of $50. its a huge money maker. cell phone providers and their text messaging fees of 20 cents per message doesn't even come close to the profit margin the ADA sees for each report.

For what? To make sure the questions were scored right? That would have to be a serious computer glitch! And what recourse would you have? You have a notarized score report, albeit unofficial, but heck..

Still just irritating.
