Hello,
I'm a premed and had a question abut medical school finances.
I understand that each school has their own budget for the year and that is the maximum amount one can borrow through the federal system. The budget, as I understand it, calculates housing which one is expected to live with a roommate. Now, for those of you that go to school in the "expensive" areas (ie, DC, Philly, NY, LA, SF) is the loan amount they give you enough to cover all expenses and live without having to eat TV dinner everyday?
Your insight will be appreciated.

I know my school is pretty good at estimating the cost of living. They hadn't changed it since I started 3 years ago, but this upcoming year, they just increased the amount of living expenses that you can take out... in other words, yes, I definitely think you can live without having to eat TV dinner every night. 🙂

Moving to Financial Aid forum which deals with financial topics and educational costs. Allopathic students can follow and reply if desired.
