I have an interview at Midwestern Illinois coming up pretty soon and have not really been able to find much information on how the interviews are set up. The interview invitation did not specify and was actually rather vague. I have looked through past threads but found nothing. AADSAS has also recently put up a new feature that tells you the types of interviews each school does but MWU-IL's section is just blank. 🙁

Has anyone interviewed here before or knows what type of interview MWU-IL has? Are they one-on-one, group, MMI ....? i have no idea what I'm going to be walking into

Congrats! When’s your interview?🙂

In old acceptance threads, they had MMI but I spoke to a student that goes there and the interview is between 2 faculty and 1 student.

I wonder if they have more than one interview then. I have recently been to an interview where they had both panel and an MMI. And Thanks! I am interviewing next week!

Hey,
I have an interview with MWU next week, I hope your interview went well. Could you please share your interview experience? What questions did they ask and did you get accepted to school? I hope you did well.

Can confirm that it is 2 interviewers and you. The questions were super basic and very conversational. Definitely one of the easier interviews.

Were there any ethical questions?

I don't think so, although I can't even remember (and I had the interview 5 days ago). The interview is by far the easiest part of the day, it's honestly just a set of simple questions that will lead into a conversation.

Whoever is concerned about MWU!
I had mine yesterday and they are super nice and pretty laid back from the dean to the professors and students everyone looks helpful. My interview was with two faculty and they both asked pretty basic questions:
1. Why optometry?
2. Why this school?
3. What do you do for fun?
4. Do you think your grades reflect what you know or something along this line?
The interview lasts 10 to 20 minutes and the rest of the day you will have a tour of the school and its clinic.
If you all still have any specific question you can contact me here.
Meanwhile, I still have Nova, KOCO, UHCO and San Antonio college of optometry on my interview list. If any of you have attended the interview with these schools please let me know what to expect. Thanks.

Wrong profession. This is dentistry, although I'm happy to hear your interview went well.
