This is the most appropriate forum I could find to post to.
Anyway, after paying rent since leaving my parents house (8 years x AT LEAST $600/month = over 57K ) I am sick of paying rent. However, I dont have the means at this point to invest in a house. For example, if the roof or another major repair comes up, I cannot fund it.
So that brings me to a condominium, I heard its sort of an in-between from a house in a apartment. Here what I know about them: you own it (it's like paying rent-to-own-right?)
Here is what I want to know:
Are you responsible for repairs, since you own it?
Are gas, electric, water, etc separate or is it including in the payment?
Basically, How is it different from buying a home???
