What is a D5 program?

Hello!

Can anyone tell me what a D5 program is exactly? How do students qualify and do all schools have that program?
If i don't get accepted to dental school, what are the best post-bacc options out there?
I graduated with a 2.99 in bio. i am hoping for an excellent dental score and i have worked at an dental office for more than 5 years.

I could be mistaken, but I believe you are referring to a to D.5 program. Not quite a D1 but given an opportunity to take a few courses to prove your worth. I personally disagree with the premise of a .5 spot but if it's your only option go for it.

Idk seems kind of cool to me. I havent given it a ton of thought but seems perfect for people who might not have made the cut otherwise and now get a chance to show they can hang. It also must make the first year a lot easier if you've already finished four classes.

What problems do you have with the program?

I just want to be fully informed about all possible options ifi don't get accepted this coming year. I have a relatively low gpa :*( Do you guys know if it is hard to get into programs like this?

Ive never heard of this either, I tihnk its stating that you need an interview before you can be considered for the d.5 is that right?

This description is correct. I am pretty sure Dr. Healy said that pretty much every D.5 has passed and made it in. Not sure of any other schools that offer this, however.
