Psychology, Health Science, Pre-OT, and Exercise Science are the most common majors. You really can major in anything you would like - as long as you take the prerequisite courses required for admissions into a graduate program. It doesn't make a difference to admissions committees which major you choose, but it may save you time and money if you choose a major which includes those courses. If you are interested in studying something unrelated, another option would be to pick up a minor if your school has one that aligns with the prerequisite courses.

I wouldn't focus so much on that. Applicants come from all kinds of backgrounds. But I agree with above ^ that you could really save yourself some time and money by choosing a major that includes a lot of the required prerequisite classes. I was an Economics major, so I had no science classes and had to go back and take them before I applied. It's more so thinking about what you're going to have to plan for in order to apply once you graduate.

I majored in Exercise Science and most of my pre reqs were covered by the major!!

I started as Exercise and Sport Science but changed to Human Development and Family Science. I absolutely loved my major and I am so glad I switched!

I have seen different degrees like BSN, engineering and education...
