Dumb question, but i really dont know.. is it like the application they send if you dont get in ED?

For all the schools (excluding Texas that has its own system), the AMCAS application is a uniform application submitted to all the schools that one wishes to apply to. Some schools "screen" and request supplemental information from some applicants. Other schools do not screen and invite every applicant to "self-screen" (compare yourself to the average student at that school) and apply if you think you measure up.

I would suspect that even early decision applicants need to make a supplemental application specific to the school to which they are applying for ED.
