What is considered a good step score?

Do you know how to look up charting outcomes? You should probably start there and come back if you have any further questions.
Well those places have average step 1s within the vicinity of 224-227. So I guess one should focus on other parts of one's application now, like high quality LORs, ECs, etc.
I'm just wondering if one have a reasonable chance of getting interviews or matching with a step 1 of 230.

Yes.

really the magic number for most non surgical fields is actually a 220 providing you aren’t geographically limited. I know that’s a peasant score on sdn, but it’s fine IRL.

thats not a peasant score.. a peasant score is what I use to get back when I was a scrub in step 1 studying like 200s or 190s. but 220 is not bad.

SDN would tell you a 250 only.

The closer to reality answer is that for non-surgical fields a 220 is plenty and a solid score. 230 is the line where you can consider surgery and obviously the subs are 245+. Now these are all generalizations.

The real answer is that it depends, but no one likes this answer.
