The link seems to broken in FAQ. And since it has been on my mind lately, and I can't seem to find anything in a search really discussing it thoroughly, I figured it was a good question to ask.
So what is emergency medicine all about? What is its essence? Does the standard definition of "the medical specialty concerning with the diagnosis and treatment of acutely ill and injured patients" really do it justice? And what is your impression of it (from either the outside or as an EP).
