for you to better understand what KAPLAn is all about, kaplan is NOT just a "computer based board exam prep course" ..

as of 2002, it comes with 1 study book which includes all part 1 syllabus and 3 or 4 video tapes and old ASDS reprints with explanations and practice tests

if you pay for the course, you get 6 months of access to the Kaplan study location plus the materials listed above .. they also have a small library where you might find some text books " but not all locations" and the fee was $1000 for 6m - Part 1 , in 2002 ..
