What is molecular biology and what topics are covered ?

I am just curious to know exactly what molecular bioloy really is. Is it advanced cell bio ? What topics are covered in a molecular bio class ?

well molbio is a really broad field. In a gneral molbio class you are bound to cover in depth the central dogma: how DNA--->RNA---> protein, and all the processes in between. Expect to memorize the amino acids, levels of protein structure, things like that. hope this helps.

Also, there's a lot of DNA/RNA/protein technology involved (PCR, Western blots, microarrays, cloning, etc). Great class.
