so the time has come that I've been talking to faculty et al about what I'll be doing when I grow up.
A common question is, "what was your percentile on step 1?"
--- Great!
Now I know that it has been belabored on this site that the two-point score is NOT a percentile and they do not report it anymore... but
if I give my three point score I frequently get a blank look. I have said I have "i have a two point score of 'X', but that's not the percentile" blah blah.
Basicly, I feel strange going around saying "90" when that was definitely not my percentile.
so, when we apply, do THEY get our percentile... much like class rank at my school: they supposedly dont calculate it any more, but if you look on your transcript/deans letter/AOA application it is still very much there. (so they calculate it, but just dont give it to us) or
are these guys just using old terminology and think "two-point-score" just sounds funny.
