What is the best major to apply to medical school?

Medical schools (N=130) give the least importance to undergraduate majors when evaluating applicants.
 
Funnily enough --- the premed major at most major universities is rather cush --- once you take the core requirements like Chem/O-Chem, Physics, and Calc in your first two years the remaining two years are filled with liberal arts and science electives where you can pick some of the easier courses to pad your GPA.

I respect the folks who take truly demanding majors like Elec. Engr. or Biochem because you won't have any fluffy semesters.
